School holiday

Today starts the school holidays for two weeks, which means everything we used to go to are closed (playgroups, swim lesson, dance group)... Makes it hard for us to spend the days in a fun way. Our plan for today was therefore to visit the playland called Chipmunks with Ashley and the kids. We had fun and the children really liked it! After Viggo's sleep did we go to Ashley's house (or the kids house that she takes care of) and played for a while.
By the way, I'm now 11 hours before you in time difference (I have summertime). When you change to winter time I get 12 hours before.
Now am I sitting in the bed after a good workout at the gym and planning a road trip for weekend. Hopefully the weather is getting better, it's still windy and rainy. Kisses

My weekend

Friday night were I babysitting the cute children when Katja and Martin went out for a dinner. First time for me and it went very good, except Viggo woke up after a while and didn't want to sleep again... Have to practice the tricks to make him sleep haha. Ashley came over and we had a good night home.

Saturday were we going to the mall to buy some clothes, I haven't bought any clothes since I came here. But I couldn't find anything that were nice... so sad! Well, around three o'clock went Ashley and I with her friends and brothers to Jerome's place to his birthday party. It's big to turn 21 here and I think he has partied from wednesday to saturday haha. As tradition should the boy who have the party drink a "jade" which is a pipe with 7 cans of beer (or maybe more) as fast he can and when it's a girl's birthday she takes 21 shots. Haha fun to look at but he was close to throw up, poor Jerome. There were maybe four other guys who wanted to try but they filled it with other drinks, haha they weren't far away to throw up too. We ate "Hangi" which is a traditional dish and you cook it in the ground for at least three hours. It contains meet, potato and root crops and I think it tasted nice. His friends did a traditional dance for him as well, looked like maori dance. I had a great night and it's fun to experience this! Today I didn't feel good haha so have been in bed all day long.

Eventful day with the kids

The weeks go crazy fast here, promise you that time flies away when you work with children! Lucky me because the weekends come quicker and they actually feels longer (maybe because in Mondays and Fridays I only work 2pm-5pm). This morning we went to Glenfield for Agnes dance group and straight after that went upstairs to the playgroup. As usual, I have no plans for afternoon and wondered what to do. It turned out that Agnes got the head lice back and during Viggo's sleep Katja fixed that, so now on we have to comb her hair every day in one week. Feel bad for Agnes, but Ashley came by with her two girls so they could play meanwhile we chatted haha I love playdates. Posted some pictures from yesterday, the three first.

Half day

Started the morning with a workout at the gym, ran about 2 km better than last time! In the afternoon I met Ashley with the kids at the playground and to feed the ducks by the pond. We realized maybe Viggo got a crush on her two year old girl, so cute!! After dinner i went to Fanny's place in Mission Bay, it's on the other side of city and I drove all by myself there. Promise you it's hard close to city because the highway start with five lines and then suddenly divides in different directions. No wrong turns but I had Google maps GPS with me...  Next time maybe no GPS hehe.
